Born in Verona, Italy in 1987, Tommaso Maganzani began studying piano with Laura Palmieri in 1996. Since 1997, he has participated in numerous national and international competitions, both as a solo artist and duet collaborations. In 1998, he was selected to perform the Concert Rondo for Piano and Orchestra by Mozart in Verona and Malcesine. In September 2005, he graduated from the Conservatory of Verona. Two years later, he won 1st prize in the national competition Etruscan Riviera of Piombino, while in May, he received 1st prize at the City of Bardolino competition winning a tour of concerts throughout Italy. He has performed at the Concerts Dino Ciani in the Palazzo Albrizzi in Venice and with the Verona Philharmonic Orchestra where he played Schuman’s Piano Concerto and Beethoven’s “Emperor Concerto.”

Maganzani has studied over the years with Gerlinde Otto, Federico Gianello, Margheita Anselmi, Enrico Stellini, and Pietro De Maria.

He currently teaches at the Verona Conservatory and performs both as a soloist and in duets with pianist colleague, Stefano Chiozzi.
