Susan McGinn has been part of Hawaii’s musical community since 1990 serving as Principal Flutist of the Hawaii Symphony, a member of the Spring Wind Quintet of Chamber Music Hawaii and as a flute instructor at many institutions.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, she studied with some of the world’s most respected flutists at several major universities in the United States and England. She has been awarded positions in major music festivals throughout the world where she has served as soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician. Through these experiences, Susan has had the opportunity to perform with some of the world’s most renowned artists and conductors.
