Jacopo Giacopuzzi

Jacopo Giacopuzzi studied piano at the EF Dall’Abaco of Verona under the guidance of Laura Palmieri, graduating in 2006. In 2008, he continued work in Weimar at the Liszt Hochschule with Gerlinde Otto and Frederico Gianello. In 2011, He received a Master’s Degree in piano performance and sound design at the Conservatory of Verona.

He has performed at major festivals throughout the US and Europe including the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, Pianofest in The Hamptons, Harmos Festival in Oporto, Accademia Chigiana in Siena, the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in Salzburg, Young Talents in Rome, Amici della Musica in Verona and Longia, and the Festival of San Giovanni in Valdarno.

As a chamber musician, he performs regularly in duos with violinist Anastasyia Petryshak. With clarinetist Allessandro Beverari and pianist Sergio Baietta, he performed the Mephisto Piano Duo as part of The Dante Experience - also recording it for Vatican Radio.

Giacopuzzi has been the winner of many competitions throughout the world: Premio Liszt (2010), Premio Crescendo in Florence (2012), San Dona Di Piave International Competition (2014), the International Liszt Competition In Los Angeles (2014) and the Music in the Mansion competition in Beverly Hills last April 2015.
He currently performs recitals throughout Europe and the US and will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in piano performance at the Thornton School of Music at USC with Kevin Fitz-Gerald. He currently resides in both Los Angeles and Verona.
